Today we remember the brave patriots who gave their lives to save our democracy. We also remember those who fought and survived, and those who supported those efforts. They sacrificed their lives, their safety, their mental stability. For US.

Their precious, sacred honor is being threatened today. Our beautiful nation was designed by other brilliant, brave people who came here for freedom. Freedom to govern themselves. Freedom to practice their beliefs. Freedom to live as they choose so long as it harms no one. This freedom is now threatened by some of our leaders who would like to turn our country into a dictatorship. They want to limit or eliminate elections, the power of the courts, and the voices of the people. They want to make life better for the ultra-rich at the expense of lower-income, hardworking men and women. They plan to sacrifice our beautiful and life-giving environment at the altar of their cryptocurrency. They want to silence voices of dissent. This is the ultimate disrespect for those who gave their lives for us. Destroying our democracy and freedom while enriching themselves shows where their hearts lie.

No matter your political persuasion, you should be opposed to these provisions in the budget bill. All freedom-loving Americans, true patriots, must act now. The highest honor for our fallen heroes is to continue their work. Please commit to calling and writing to your representatives, repeatedly if necessary. Their phone lines and mailboxes must overflow with our messages. We must flood the streets with protests. We cannot let this happen. Minor differences can be discussed later. We must stop the current legislation that will end our Constitutional rights of free speech, press, elections, rule of law, and the courts. There is no higher priority. THIS IS A CONSTITUTIONAL EMERGENCY. America, in honor of our heroes, let freedom ring!
